About
Why ChhanaBox exists
Built by someone who needed it, for people who need it too.
The short version
I'm Trish. I spent years feeling like everybody else had been given a manual that I somehow missed. Anxious about things that hadn't happened. Replaying conversations at three in the morning. Working hard and still feeling behind. I assumed that was just my personality.
It wasn't. It was a set of habits, beliefs and patterns — and habits, beliefs and patterns can change. Slowly, unglamorously, and without anyone becoming a completely different person. That's the entire premise of this place.
What ChhanaBox actually is
A small, honest self-help platform: a journal of short articles, a podcast, a free guide, and daily posts on social media. Everything here is written for ordinary people with ordinary lives — not for people with three spare hours and a meditation retreat booked.
What it isn't
It isn't therapy. It isn't medical advice. It isn't a crisis service, and it isn't a replacement for a conversation with your GP or a qualified professional. Those things matter, and where they're the right answer, I'll say so plainly. If you need support beyond an article, the support page lists UK services that can help.
The principles behind everything published here
Honesty over polish. Nobody has it together all the time, and pretending otherwise is how people end up feeling worse after reading self-help content.
Evidence where it exists, honesty where it doesn't. Where a claim comes from published research, it is cited so you can check it yourself. Where something is a personal observation or a popular idea that hasn't been robustly tested, that is said out loud rather than dressed up as science.
No toxic positivity. "Just think positive" is not a strategy. Feelings are information, not failures.
Small and doable beats big and impressive. Every tool here is designed to survive a bad week, not just a good one.
Who writes it
Everything on ChhanaBox is written by me. I'm not a doctor, therapist or psychologist, and I don't claim to be — I'm someone who has been through it, read a great deal, and cares about getting it right. Where I draw on research, I reference it. Where I'm speaking from personal experience, I say so.
